...you'd bloody well keep it relatively regular. I am grateful for the last ninty days of posting. Truly I am. I am sorry for the several weeks I missed when the drive was blown and the times I decided to post about my life instead of my job because I was trying not to let my job eat my life even though it was although I did note a few small mentions between the lines. I am thankful because I just spent the day putting together an 8 page bloody time line of everything that's occurred since the day I walked in the door until Friday when I walked out the door having changed my mind about keeping the Thursday lunch conversation off the record when I supposed what you'd call the last or final straw got added to the giant pile o'shit on Friday afternoon (he just COULDN'T LET IT GO, COULD HE? A PERFECTLY PLAUSIBLE EXPLANATION FOR AN HR LUNCH AND HE JUST COULDN'T LET IT GO) and Alecto just got plain fed up.
I have no idea what they're going to do with these 8 pages. When you hand over something truly damning what DO they do? They can't very well sit him down, smack him over the nose with a rolled up newspaper, say 'BAD BOY' and send me back in there, can they? Don't they know I'll just keep typing? With the same rigorous attention to detail I've had all along?
Oh who the hell knows what they're going to do. All I know is HR took an entire page of notes during our off the record lunch date. And I was only giving highlights. Later peer filled in some of the blanks for me on the witch hunt. That other Essbase group? Apparently the entire Essbase team worked for him and during the planning implementation one of his employees quit and wrote a letter to the CFO and the team was split in two. One half went to the Controller's group and the other half went to the Finance group I'm in (which is not the Controller's group. We do metrics and I'm still trying to figure out what they really call us). The half that went to the Controller's group all used to work for my boss. And THAT is why the transition was so bloody awful. He was left with absolutely NO employees all by himself with his databases. He hired my peer, the last poor girl got out and high tailed it to the other camp and seven months later he managed to get me on board and what's he done?
Spent 90 days being an absolute tool.
